Sequential Compression

Medical sequential compression devices (SCDs) are devices used to improve circulation in the lower extremities by applying intermittent pneumatic compression to the legs. These devices are commonly used to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and to promote blood flow in patients who are immobilized or undergoing surgery. They require programmable settings, pressure sensors, and delivery of precise pressures.
